The Bugatti EB110 GT at The 1992 Paris Autoshow

Although the Bugatti EB110 GT is often associated with the 1992 Paris Motor Show, the car actually made its world debut earlier, on 15 September 1991 at La Défense in Paris. The launch was timed to commemorate the 110th anniversary of Ettore Bugatti's birth, with the name "EB110" standing for "Ettore Bugatti 110."

The 1992 Paris Motor Show was nevertheless a significant milestone in the EB110's development. Bugatti displayed prototype chassis GT39011, regarded as the first public EB110 GT configured very closely to the final production specification, alongside the first EB110 Super Sport prototype, GT39008. By this stage, the Super Sport had evolved substantially from its earlier Geneva appearance and appeared in a more production-oriented form. Together, the two cars demonstrated the expansion of the EB110 range and showed that Romano Artioli's revived Bugatti had progressed from prototype development toward series production. The display highlighted the advanced engineering that defined the EB110, including its carbon-fiber chassis, quad-turbocharged 3.5-liter V12 engine, and all-wheel-drive system, making it one of the most technologically ambitious supercars of the early 1990s
